About Us

Welcome

Pixley Union  Elementary School District is located in the rural area in Pixley, California (population 2,987), Tulare County, in the southern San Joaquin Valley of California's Central Valley, one of the world's most affluent agricultural areas. Pixley's vast agriculture industry of farms, orchards, and dairies utilizes the latest production technologies and provides most local employment for residents.

The District's enrollment is currently 890 students enrolled in two schools, Pixley Elementary (TK-5th) and Pixley Middle School (6th-8th). Pixley Middle School has a new gymnasium and band room built-in in 2016, a new multipurpose field, and six lane track created in 2017. In 2020, Pixley received a Kindergarten grant and completed a three classroom wing. In 2022, the elementary completed the modernization of 18 classrooms and an administration office.

Pixley Elementary School created an outdoor learning environment/science Life Lab open to all students to support the new Next Generation Science Standards.

Pixley Union School District is looked upon as the community's learning, social, and recreational hub. Students and families recognize it as the go-to resource for school/community needs. Pixley's Family Resource Center supports families by assisting in finding services, Expanded Learning Opportunity, better known as ASES Afterschool Program, Migrant Education, music program and marching band,  and a strong Character Counts! Program. The English Language Development (ELD) program supports students who come to Pixley with their first language other than English. A Healthy Start provides mental and physical support to our students.

Previous Pixley USD students include a U.S. Congressman, State Assemblyman, Stanford Ph.D. candidate, University of California and Ivy League graduates, High School Valedictorians, and many more success stories.
